CINNABON SET FOR UK GROCERY BAKERY ROLLOUT

US bakery brand Cinnabon is set to return to the UK market through a new in-store bakery partnership with European manufacturer Baker & Baker, marking a fresh push to bring its signature cinnamon-led products into mainstream retail.

Under the new agreement, Cinnabon-branded bakery items will be introduced into UK supermarkets in a take-home format, giving shoppers access to the brand’s distinctive flavours without visiting a dedicated store.

The initial launch will focus on two products designed for the in-store bakery fixture: a twin-pack cinnamon muffin and a twin-pack cinnamon doughnut. Both are inspired by Cinnabon’s classic indulgent flavour profile, featuring cinnamon-spiced bakery bases finished with a cream cheese-style icing and a sweet crumb topping.

The rollout reflects growing demand within the UK for premium, indulgent bakery lines that offer recognisable branding alongside everyday convenience. Retailers are increasingly looking to well-known names to help drive footfall and differentiate their in-store bakery ranges.

The products are expected to appear first in selected convenience and supermarket chains before expanding more widely across the grocery sector. The launch will be supported by in-store activity designed to encourage trial and build awareness among shoppers.

Originally founded in the United States in the 1980s, Cinnabon built its global reputation on its signature cinnamon rolls, becoming a widely recognised brand in the sweet bakery category. Its return to UK retail marks a shift away from standalone bakery outlets towards branded grocery innovation.

The partnership with Cinnabon is aimed at strengthening the brand’s presence in the UK while tapping into the continued popularity of indulgent sweet bakery products in the in-store bakery sector.
