SYSCO GB JOINS ZERO CARBON FORUM

Sysco GB joins Zero Carbon Forum

Sysco GB has become the first wholesale supplier to join the Zero Carbon Forum, reinforcing its commitment to helping drive sustainability across the UK's hospitality and foodservice sectors.

The move expands the Forum's collaborative approach by bringing a major wholesaler into its membership, enabling closer cooperation between suppliers and hospitality operators as the industry works towards reducing carbon emissions and building more resilient supply chains.

As a member, Sysco GB will contribute to a range of projects focused on lowering emissions throughout the food supply chain. These include initiatives to improve emissions reporting, support more sustainable sourcing practices and identify practical ways to reduce the environmental impact of food distribution and operations.

The wholesaler will also play a role in developing lower-carbon supply chains across key food categories, while sharing expertise in logistics, procurement and operational efficiency to help businesses meet their sustainability goals.

The partnership reflects growing recognition that achieving net zero requires collaboration across the entire supply chain rather than action from individual businesses alone. By working alongside hospitality operators and other industry partners, Sysco GB aims to help accelerate progress towards a more sustainable foodservice sector while strengthening resilience against future environmental and economic challenges.

The Zero Carbon Forum continues to bring together businesses from across hospitality to develop practical solutions that reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency and support long-term sustainability throughout the industry.
