STORY: UNOX Bakerlux SPEED.Pro claims to be the first speed baking oven

New SPEED.Pro from UNOX combines convection and high-speed ovens for maximum performance with minimum footprint

UNOX has launched the Bakerlux SPEED.Pro to the UK market, "the first speed baking oven", which is designed to save kitchen space by combining the performance of both convection and high-speed ovens.

Already successful in European markets, the SPEED.Pro accelerates cooking times by offering triple cooking; convection, for external golden browning; microwave, for fast internal heating; and conduction, for crusty toasting by contact. It is suitable for various operations in commercial settings including retail, quick-service restaurants and contract catering.

This compact 0.4m2 unit offers a choice of Bake mode for baking up to 27 croissants in 16 minutes or other delicate products thanks to the two-speed reversing fan, or Speed mode, where the oven can be used to rapidly heat and toast up to 4 sandwiches in 75 seconds, all with a uniform finish, every time.

The UK launch also includes a brand-new software update, offering even greater flexibility including multi-time cooking.

Gary Nunn, Managing Director of UNOX UK Ltd, said: “The SPEED.Pro is the culmination of thousands of hours in research and development, combining a convection oven and a speed oven in a single piece of equipment.

“This means a small footprint with maximum profit for caterers across multiple commercial sectors, something which is especially important in the current climate as space is even more precious than ever due to social distancing requirements.”
