STORY: Puratos strengthens UK team

Puratos UK has announced the strengthening of its UK team across marketing and R&D with Andrea Felician joining the company as R&D Manager for Sourdough, while Ben Ledger has been appointed as Marketing Manager for Bakery.

Joining from gluten-free bakery leader, Dr Schar, and with previous experience in the Italian brewing industry, Andrea Felician brings extensive knowledge of fermentation and its impact on

flavour. His experience in both bakery and brewing is key to his new sourdough role at Puratos UK. His remit involves installing the new sourdough line in Simonswood and developing the core range of sourdough as well as tailor made products.

Ben Ledger joined the UK marketing team as an intern in 2020, having graduated and spent his placement year at Puratos headquarters in Belgium. By securing his position as Marketing Manager at Puratos UK, Ben is realising his ambition to work for one of the key innovators in the food industry. Ben’s role will be to drive the continued growth of Puratos UK brands through marketing intelligence, product management and customer development. He will work closely with the R&D team to bring innovative products to the market.

Both of these two roles are new positions created by Puratos UK to strengthen its growing presence in Bakery. Philippa Knight started as Marketing Director last year, heading up the team, and Lydia Baines has taken on a new role as Marketing Manager Patisserie.
