Social Enterprise HMPasties Wins Liverpool FC Stadium Supply Deal

Manchester-based HMPasties, a social enterprise bakery founded by ex-offender Lee Wakeham, has secured a major supply contract with Liverpool FC, providing matchday fans with steak, cheese & onion, meat & potato pies, and sausage rolls.

Launched at the club’s first home match of the season, the deal covers a full stadium supply of around 7,000 units per game, creating enough demand to support four new jobs for people leaving prison.

HMPasties operates with a clear mission: to reduce reoffending by providing meaningful work and training to ex-offenders. Its charitable arm, HMPasties Foundation, offers practical support, skills development, and career pathways into bakery and catering.

“This partnership is a milestone for us,” said Lee Wakeham. “Liverpool FC’s belief in our products and our purpose shows that great food and great values belong together. The contract gives us the stability to expand our team and help more people rebuild their lives after prison.”

The bakery’s growing list of high-profile partners demonstrates that social enterprises can deliver on both quality and commercial scale while making a tangible community impact.
