STORY: Creams Cafe to open four new venues

Creams Cafe is set to strengthen its market position with four key regional openings in the next quarter.

Adding to the brand’s 100+ nationwide restaurant portfolio, the four new openings are located in Manchester, New Haw, Sheffield and York, with Nottingham also reopening after a period of closure for refurbishment.

New flagship

At the fore of these openings, the Manchester restaurant is set to be the newest flagship for Creams Cafe.

Situated within Manchester’s Arndale shopping centre, which registered 40m annual footfall in 2019, the restaurant will open in November 2022 and will span 2,303 sq ft, featuring 64 internal covers and an additional eight outdoor covers.

Following an increase in demand in the north of England, restaurants will also open in Sheffield and York, each in high footfall areas, alongside New Haw opening in Surrey.

Nottingham will reopen as a flagship following extensive internal refurbishments, including the addition of a spacious, purpose-built training academy in the upper floor of the restaurant. A centre of excellence, the new space is perfectly positioned to facilitate extensive training for franchise partners in the north, acting as a learning hub for restaurant to management level employees.

The restaurants will offer the complete menu of Creams Cafe classics including signature waffles, cookie dough, milkshakes and sundaes, in addition to 24 flavours of gelato made in the brand’s own east London factory. Also available, a ‘Create Your Own’ dessert offering alongside a range of savoury snacks, plentiful plant-based choices and an extensive kids menu.

Demand from the north

“We have received a lot of demand for our brand in the north of England and are delighted to be opening new restaurants in these locations," says Othman Shoukat, managing director of Creams.

"It is a huge achievement to be in as strong a position as we are, and these openings will help pave the way for future expansion in the North. We’re also really excited about the Nottingham training academy.

"From digital-based learning using the Creams Academy portal, to hands-on practical experience in the kitchen, as well as space for round table discussions and role play, the academy will prove an invaluable resource for our franchise partners.”
